Bug ID: 400274
Summary: Follow end of plot
Product: kst
Version: 2.0.8
Platform: Archlinux Packages
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
Severity: wishlist
Priority: NOR
Component: plotting
Assignee: ***@kde.org
Reporter: ***@gmail.com
Target Milestone: ---
I would like the ability to toggle following the end of the plot without having
to use the "Change Data Samples" dialog to change the data range. This would
keep the newest data sample at the right side of the plot.
Often it is useful to show the plot scrolling in realtime and I currently do
this by constraining the data range to a number of samples from the end.
However, I would also like to be able to zoom out and see the entire data range
without having to reload the entire file. Currently I need to open "Change Data
Samples" dialog and change from "Count from end" to "Read to end" and this can
take quite a bit of time depending on the size of the file.
